RISOres

RISOres was founded in 2019 as a program hosted by the Printmaking and Photography areas in the School of Art at the University of Arkansas. The program is a week-long residency during which a visiting artist, designer, or scholar collaborates with students and faculty to create a distributable fine art publication via Risograph printing, other reproducible media, and binding. The visitor also leads workshops in School of Art studios and the Advanced Technologies 2D Lab. RISOres believes in a transmedia approach to art-making and through the intermingling of diverse methodologies and collaboration, this residency offers an opportunity to discover new possibilities in art publication.

2020/2021: Jason Patterson
Jason Paterson’s visit has been postponed due to COVID-19 but will be completed Fall 2021.

 

2019: Harrison Walker
Harrison Walker was in residence at the University of Arkansas School of Art from 11 – 15 March 2019. During the visit, Harrison worked collaboratively with Special Collections to access materials on the 1980 Damascus Titan missile explosion and other items dealing with space, nuclear debris, and correspondence. Harrison also lead workshops and conversations in Special Collections with a culminating artist lecture on Friday 15 March.
