Fayetteville Art Book Fair + Expo

The Fayetteville Art Book Fair & Expo (FABFE) is a free public-facing platform for sharing and distributing creative publications, zines, multiples, and experimental printed matter produced by students, faculty, and alumni from the University of Arkansas School of Art.

The FABFE aims to be an inclusive and experimental forum that brings together local, regional, and national artists and projects while supporting and creating a space for emerging and diverse voices in contemporary arts publishing.

In response to the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, the first iteration of the FABFE will forgo a public space and will be constructed as an artistic publication that features students and faculty. The publication seeks to showcase the broad range of School of Art creative activity and highlight artists, scholars, and designers who are making work right now. Using the community directory and phone book as inspiration and through the assemblage of texts, images, information, and resources the publication will look at the ideas of publishing as guide, exhibition-in-print, and publishing as community.

This publication is open to all students, staff, groups, and faculty in the University of Arkansas School of Art. Applicants should be interested and committed to sharing their creative process and/or research with the School of Art, the University, and beyond.

The Fayetteville Art Book Fair + Expo is made possible by generous funding from the School of Art Endowment.
